What if the Muppets Did Lord of the Rings?

This is a simple, yet effective formula: Take two of the greatest franchises of all time (The Muppets and Lord of the Rings) and mash them together over and over until they stick together into a big ball of awesomeness. As a kid I remember sitting with my entire family, watching the newest episode of "The Muppets" and loving every second of it. The genius of Jim Hanson along with the sharp writing of the entire team made every episode an absolute blast.

Over the years, the Muppets did their fair share of satires and homages - From Star Wars to Star Trek, From classic folk tales to modern movies, The Muppets gave all of these their own unique spin. One franchise that never got the Muppet treatment was Lord of the Rings, and that's a shame. Well, the Internet came together to contemplate over what could have been and now we have these 22 brilliant images mashing together the most epic trilogy of all time with the greatest variety show of all time.
